Come and meet me at a show: Alternatively, if you would rather visit me at one of the wedding shows I’m exhibiting at where I will have 8 flavours to taste for free, this is also a great way to see many of my current wedding cake designs and meet me if you wanted to see my work before you enquire.  Follow my social media for news and updates on these events.

How can we find out more of what you can do?

Check out my social media: As well as my galleries on here I have lots of my previous commissions on:

Ideal first steps:  Send me over the event details, the date, styles and designs you like, stationary, flowers ideas (for inspiration to create you own unique design from!), your venue, number of servings and I will then be able to give you an approximate quote and have got a good feel for your day. By e-mail is preferred so I have details confirmed in writing and I can see images to help me get an idea of what you are after. If you are happy to proceed I will then go into more detail about the design I will provide you with a final quote.

Next steps if you want to proceed: Get the space booked in the diary! It’s never too early!! Your date will not be saved unless you confirm with a £50 deposit, Priority will be given to the paying customer. We can then get a date sorted for us to have a zoom or WhatsApp call to discuss/finalise your design details. Collect any fabric samples, sample stationery, colour swatches and photographs, and we can discuss flavour and design of your cake with the aid of my sketch book and inspiration to create your unique design for your day.

2024 & 2025 WEDDINGS: My diary is now open for bookings for weddings in 2024,2025 & 2026. Some peak dates already full! please contact me ASAP to check availability to avoid disappointment.

What are your prices?

As you can imagine there are endless possibilities when it comes to cake designs, the only limitation is your imagination! The ingredients and the work required to make and decorate each cake will vary the price. Other variations to consider are embellishments i.e. fresh flowers and bespoke design items. The size of cake and amount of detail that you require on the final design will make a difference, so once we have clarified what your requirements are, I can offer a firm quotation.

To help you gain a rough idea of basic costs please see below.

Based on my most popular size a base design wedding cake to feed around 80 would start from £450. This guide price is mainly based on creation time and size so the more complex the design this increases. Cupcake towers from £350. We can of course have a chat about designs, or if you have any pictures or ideas of the sort of thing you are looking for or even just an idea of budget we can go from there and come up with a design for you. If you have a colour scheme or a theme planned for your day we can work with that too.

I prefer deposit payment by bank transfer but I also process card payments.  Please ask me for me bank account details.

Often people think that a cake is just eggs, butter, sugar and flour, therefore should be cheaper…. but when you buy a bespoke handcrafted cake you are paying for much more it is than just the ingredients. With over 10 years of running my business and experience these all add to the value and peace of mind when ordering your bespoke cake from me. Custom made cakes can take days, or even weeks to complete. Even the simplest of cakes take 8 to 10 hours to create, more elaborate cakes often take over 25 hours to make. If you have a budget in mind then please let me know as this skips a lot of the “Wow, that’s expensive” or the “I can’t afford that”. I can then work with you to design a cake to fit your particular budget.

Why are bespoke cakes expensive?

This depends on the allergy. I do offer a selection of gluten and dairy free cakes. With regards to nut allergies, I can take orders for these, but please bear in mind that I do have nuts on the premises, therefore I cannot 100% guarantee they will not contain nut traces. For this reason I will have to ask you to sign a disclaimer stating you are happy to go ahead on that basis.

Can you make cakes suitable for people with food allergies?

Your cake will be baked as close to your delivery/collection day as possible to ensure quality and freshness, I do not use any artificial preservatives in my baking. I advise that all cakes must be consumed within 48 hours from collection/delivery. I cannot be held responsible for any cakes consumed after these timings. Cakes should be stored at room temperature, but away from direct sunlight, radiators or other sources of heat. I do not recommend keeping your cake in the fridge or somewhere cold as it will not only make the fondant icing sweat, this will also dry out the cake. For sugarpaste covered cakes, cold temperatures will also cause condensation to form on the surface of the icing, ruins colours, pipe work, edible lace and any sugar flowers or moulds.

How do I look after the cake and store it?

What happens if I have to Cancel or require a refund?

All deposits are non-refundable and in the event of cancellation the following will apply:

  • From booking until 8 weeks before the event date - deposit retained

  • Between 8 & 4 weeks before the event date - deposit retained & half of the out standing balance to be paid.

  • From 4 weeks before the event date - full payment required.

I retain the right to cancel the booking in very unusual circumstances beyond my control, such as fire or ill health. I will in this instance refund all monies taken. I am glad to say this has never had to happen but as a reassurance I do have lady locally that I would call on in the first event of this happening and would try to complete your booking if at all possible. I do have full insurance liability to cover in event of any adverses situations.

Due to the bespoke and perishable nature of my cakes, they are non refundable. However, if damage does occur at the irrefutable fault of my business, a partial or full refund may be given. This will be determined on an individual basis. Proof must be provided within 24 hours either in person or by way of pictorial evidence. Once the cake has been cut and served, this will signify your acceptance that the cake was fit for purpose and no compensation will be given.

If you have any other questions please do not hesitate to contact me.
